Camshaft Terminology.

Camshaft terminology can sometimes become very confusing. The diagram below should help to explain some of the terms used in the design and selection of camshafts. Remember that the camshaft turns once to two turns of the crankshaft. Crankshaft turning 6000 rpms, the camshaft will be turning 3000 rpms.
